Go outdoors and then savor the memory! Take a short walk around the park/trail to find small treasures and then make a fun memory necklace to take home and enjoy. This class is limited in size so please be sure to register. $3/necklace for materials.

Learn how to save seeds from this year’s harvest with Meadville Public Library! At this event, you will learn how to preserve your favorite plant varieties for future generations as well as tips and tricks to get you started on your seed-saving journey. Get ready to participate in our upcoming Seed Exchange in Spring 2025, where you can swap seeds, share knowledge, and expand your gardening horizons.

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners Nancy Ingersoll and Kinorea Tigri will be covering how non-native invasive plants are damaging our environment. They will also be identifying many native plants and how they are able to improve our habitats and maintain healthy ecosystems.

The annual plant sale is at the Downtown Mall parking lot (outside of Big Lots) in Meadville, PA. The Master Gardeners sell a large variety of house plants, perennials, vegetables, herbs, and other garden plants, along with trees and shrubs. Other garden items could be available such as garden gloves, magazines, books, stepping stones, and equipment.
The Master Gardeners on hand will also be happy to answer any horticultural questions.

PennState Extension office is offering a Beginner’s Gardening Course: Learn to Grow Veggies on a Budget at the Meadville Public Library in the South Room. Learn how to build healthy soil, plan your growing space, choose your crops, care for your garden, and harvesting your bounty. There will be cooking demos and tastings of vegetables that you might grow in your garden too. A meet and greet will be held on Thursday, March 28 from 4-6pm at the library and then classes will be held every Monday starting on April 11 and ending on June 27 from 4-6pm. The cost of the program is $20.00, however this program may be free for individuals and families whose household income falls at or below the poverty guidelines. Participants can receive free seeds and other gardening supplies based on availability of those supplies for this program.
